The Grand Opening Ceremony was held on Sunday, July 2nd from 1 to 4 pm.  A ribbon cutting ceremony was at 2 pm with special guests, local historical reenactors Brian and Renee Porter, who are known for portraying Sir. John A. Macdonald and Lady Agnes Macdonald.  Senator Bob Runciman, MP Gord Brown, MPP Steve Clark and Thousand Islands Community Development Executive Director Tom Russell were in attendance. Live music from the Silvertones in the gazebo was enjoyed while attendees strolled through the Mallory Coach House Gardens and viewed what the Mallorytown Country Market had to offer.

The project was made possible by a Canada 150 Grant of $50,000 and a 1000 Islands Community Development Corporation grant of $5,000, both requiring matching funds from the Township. Thank you to the many individuals and businesses who have contributed to our fundraising efforts.  Receipts for income tax purposes will be issued to all donors and will be accepted at the Township Office during business hours.
