MUNICIPAL ELECTION DAY IS OCTOBER 24, 2022
Who May Vote
A person is entitled to vote in a municipal election if they are a qualified elector. That means, on voting day, you must be:
- a Canadian citizen
- at least 18 years of age on election day
- residing in the municipality, or is the owner or tenant of land there, or a spouse of such owner or tenant
- any person not prohibited by law from voting
Proof of identity and residence must be presented, showing your name, qualifying address and signature. Examples include Ontario driver’s license or photo health card.
Voters’ List
If you are a resident, owner or tenant of property in the Township, the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the Township, a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age or older on election day, you are eligible to vote. How to Vote
There are three methods of voting in Front of Yonge Township:
- NEW! Telephone Voting
- NEW! Internet Voting
- Paper Ballots
Voter Information Letters will be mailed to all eligible electors in late September/early October, with further details.
